Investors Site Visit and Business Lunch

Lunch
The format of the Investors Visit is very simple, but its impact on donor and student alike can be profound.

Following an initial introduction by a YEA staff member and partner school teacher, Investors tour the YEA teen business, led by a member of the "customer relations team." Afterwards, Investors join their student host - and a school or YEA staff representative - for a small on-site group business lunch.

The luncheon venue gives Investors an opportunity to learn firsthand from YEA students about their specific business - and to hear about their experience in YEA.

Just as important, the interaction gives YEA teens a hands-on opportunity to practice customer relations skills - and to learn "on the job" from the business experience that many Guild members bring to the table.

In the same way that established members in a "trade guild" mentor young apprentices, Investors Business Lunches give Investors Guild members a rewarding opportunity for a lunchtime mentoring session with YEA teen entrepreneurs. More than a "donor perk," the experience is part of a YEA teen's business education.
